Distinct Flavours, Premium Quality
The fertile Vipava Valley abounds with grapes and various types of fruit, herbs, aromatic herbs and medicinal plants. Since ancient times, locals have used them to concoct tasty beverages: sometimes simple, e.g. elderberry cordial, sometimes in tune with the times, such as the locally made Grum’s soda. Spirits were distilled from grape skins and fruit, and in turn used to make herbal liqueurs. Fruit juice was considered a luxury item back in the day. In the middle of the 20th century, a company named Fructal kicked off its production in Ajdovščina. Its excellent fruit juices are still cherished in many countries around the world.
