The “Wheels and Wine” program offers a unique experience of the Vipava Valley’s enchanting landscape to wheelchair users. With a specially adapted tandem bike equipped with stable support and safety systems, disabled individuals can embark on a cycling tour in complete comfort and safety.

Experience the pleasure of biking on quiet low-traffic routes, passing through vineyards and historic Vipava villages, far from the crowded tourist areas. Accompanied by a welcoming local guide, you will be regaled with tales and folklore, gain insight into wine-making traditions and the historical background of winemaking in the Vipava Valley. Along the way, we will pause at various points to delve into local tidbits and discover intriguing sites, including the captivating charm of the historic Vipavski Križ. Our last stop will be a local winery, where we will sample distinctive regional wine varieties and other culinary delights.

The cycling tour is approximately 28 km long and has 500 meters of elevation gain. Most of the time, we will be riding on unpaved roads through vineyards and old Vipava Valley villages.
