Visit a Vipava Valley beekeeper and get to know the Carniolan honey bee, an indigenous Slovenian bee species. The friendly master beekeeper will introduce you to the life of a bee colony, explaining the importance of pollination for natural balance and how we can all help bees survive. You'll get to know about the healthful properties of bees, and they way they can help us treat certain conditions. The visit wraps up with a tasting of different types of honey and honey products, followed by a stop in the medieval Vipavski Križ to hear about the rich history of the Vipava Valley.
