Kletarstvo Petrič
Petrič is a small-scale winemaking operation. The vineyard is on a soil that is mostly loam, rendering it suitable for indigenous varieties such as Pinela and Zelen. The Petrič estate also grows the old local variety Rebula as well as Yellow Muscat, Welschriesling, Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Barbera. The over 130-year-old wine cellar accommodates large wood barrels where the wine matures. The wine from these barrels is served to guests attending wine tastings. Tastings can also be held in the near-by vineyards.
Not to be missed:
- the farm is involved in the Association of Slovenian Family Winegrowers
- tastings for up to 20 people
- the village of Planina comprises seven hamlets surrounded by vineyards, fields and orchards
- a mellow path up to St. Paul’s church provides a scenic view of the Vipava Valley
