Verace

Verace in Nova Gorica was named one of the best 50 pizza places in Europe. In 2022, it was ranked 31st by the online guidebook 50 Top Pizza. This selection is considered a Michelin Guide to pizzerias across the world. Verace boasts premium ingredients sourced from suppliers from southern Italy. The pizza dough is made with flour developed specifically for Naples-style pizza and allows for slow rising times (48 hours plus). The pizzas are topped with premium Italian peeled tomatoes, and fior di latte or buffalo milk mozzarella made with natural rennet imported from Italy.

The menu includes everything from traditional Neapolitan pizzas such as marinara and margherita to a selection of meatless and meat pizzas with various toppings. The place also provides gluten-free dough and a range of vegan pizza options. Also available are seasonal pizzas, salads, and Italian desserts such as tiramisu and Sicilian cannolo. Pizza margherita, capricciosa, prosciutto crudo and spicy bestia are particular local favourites. The drinks menu features a selection of wines from Southern Italy, with Primitivo and Malvasia Nera being the highlights. There are also beers from renowned Slovenian craft breweries on tap.

Indoors, the place can sit 70 people, and 30 more outdoors. The venue is great for celebrations and catered events.
