Twice a year, the open door establishment offers a wide variety of quintessential Karst dishes. The hosts are proud of their cured meat products and their long history, with homemade wine being a perfect pairing. The meal starts with fresh crispy bread from the rustic bread oven, young cheese and cured meats, continues with homemade ribs, potatoes, pork loin and sausages, and finishes with sweet štruklji (dumplings) made according to on old family recipe passed down from Krčar's grandmother. The homestead offers a lovely view of the Gulf of Trieste on one side and the Alps on the other. For announced groups catered events can be held year-round.
