Fruit

The Land of Succulent Fruit

From the first cherries that are ripe in the Vipava Valley in early May, to persimmons far into November, fresh fruit is available in the valley seven months out of a year. The fruits with the longest tradition in the valley are cherries and apricots that were supplied to large towns and royal courts in the past centuries. In the last century, efforts have been made in the Vipava Valley for systematic cultivation of peaches and pears. Today it is noted for its range of fruit varieties and premium quality fruit.

Vipava Valley cherries, apricots and peaches remain the queens of the Vipava Valley.

Visit any of the farms and taste the fruits right from the tree.
